Bespoke WordPress with elearning integration for the Writing in Social Work programme part of the Open University

We worked with the Writing in Social Work team to design and build a bespoke elearning system that would allow the Open University to provide training and educational assets to people working within the social care sector.

The Challenge

Writing in Social Work were looking to create a variety of different training modules that would have different educational aims, existing systems that were readily available either had a significant barrier of entry in terms of content management, or were very light in features. They needed a system robust enough that they could match their ambitions, but also needed to be simple enough for them to create new modules as and when they needed.

The Solution

Using Custom Post Types within WordPress, and the Advanced Custom Fields Pro flexible content fields we were able to design and build a system that would give the Writing in Social Work team the ability to manage the elearning modules and users who access them dynamically.
